    LD53 Common Operations

The LD53 battery has different operations depending on the number of batteries connected and the type of inverter used. Details are provided below.

    1. Operations

    1.1 Powering on/off the System

Power on: Press and hold the POWER button on the right electrical connection area of the battery pack that connects to the inverter until the light turns to yellow and starts flashing.

Power off: Press and hold the POWER button on the right electrical connection area of the battery pack for at least 2 seconds until the status light turns solid yellow, then release.

    1.2 Black Start

The Black Start function allows the equipment to continue operating through the energy storage inverter and battery even if the grid and photovoltaic panel are out of service. This function is applicable for initial installation, changes in the number of battery systems, or address allocation. The startup procedure for Black Start is as follows:

When the device is in the off state, pressing and holding the power button for more than 5 seconds will initiate the self-check process. During this process, the battery status light will first come on as a solid yellow light, and then start flashing yellow. After the light begins to flash, release the button and wait for the device to complete the automatic numbering process. If the numbering is successful, the status light will turn to a solid green or flashing green light.

    2. Steps for different inverters

    2.1 For Solax inverter

First installationFor the first installation of a single device, it can be directly powered on. For multiple devices, a black start is required to assign the addresses of each battery.

Non-first installationPower on directlypress the power button It can be used normally after the yellow light turns green.

    2.2 For third-party inverter

The LD53 is compatible with third-party inverters using the Pylontech CAN protocol. The third-party inverters operate in parallel, and the communication between the inverters and the Solax lithium batteries is conducted using the CAN protocol.

When connecting to third-party inverters, the operation for a single battery or multiple batteries is essentially the same. It should be noted that after power on, an additional operation is required to perform energy dispatching. The specific operation is as follows

After the startup procedure is completed, wait for the battery status light to show green (solid or flashing). Within 10 seconds, quickly press the power button three times, with each press lasting no more than 2 seconds and not triggering the shutdown. After that, the battery status light will flash green at 1-second intervals, indicating that the power-up process is complete.
